By Dale Mazurek Unhealthy eating and a long period with the proper lack of activity is the most common reason for obesity. Without the activity food gives your body more calories than it burns. At this point your body turns on the action of storing which turns into fat. In laymans terms this is obesity. 1. Not eating properly is the main reason people become obese. People all over the world are getting fat because they dont take the time to put any control into their eating. Most people dont walk any more but instead drive every where they go. This has the health situation in the world out of control. 2. Another reason you can blame your obesity on is genetics. Other members of your family may have or still do suffer form obesity. This is in no means an excuse to get big but rather it should be a good warning that you have to be extra careful in watching your weight. 3. Probably the worst possible predator for obesity is junk food. In the busy world we live in we are always eating quick snacks such as chips or sodas and of course there is the fast food industry. While hamburgers look and taste great, when it comes to calories there are more in one burger then you should have in an entire meal. There is no way your stomach is going to be full on only one burger so it will be asking for more even though you dont really need it. Its very easy to give up. There are so many diets out there and everyone has tried one or another. They usually do manage to lose a few pounds. However people usually fall back into bad habits and quickly put the weight right back on. Now that your body is used to dieting it will make it harder the next time because your body will fight it that much more. To all of you that have tried dieting and failed thats okay. You can try again. You have to remember that food is an addiction. You dont have to be embarrassed asking for help. You have to want to lose weight to be successful. One other important thing is mixing exercise into your diet. It is hard work but with will and determination you can get down to your desired weight.
